Hickman County Has Momentum!
Hello, it’s Congressman Matt Van Epps. I represent Tennessee’s Seventh Congressional District! Since coming to Congress, I have had the privilege of spending some great time in Hickman County!
I was honored to visit with Hickman County Veterans for lunch at their local American Legion post. While in town, I was also able to tour Ascension St. Thomas Hickman to see the critical work being done there in support of rural communities. I also toured T.REX Arms and had meaningful discussions surrounding Second Amendment rights of American citizens. Like many of our counties, Hickman displayed tremendous resilience and courage during Winter Storm Fern, and I was given the privilege of seeing this in person at the Hickman County EMA headquarters. Find out more about these visits here, here, and here.
Hickman County is a testament to what happens when strength and traditional American values come together to build a resilient community. The local leadership and residents alike support each other through thick and thin and remind me that faith, family, and hard work remain at the heart of our nation’s strength.
“On March 30th, VFW Post 4967 Centerville, welcomed Congressman Matt Van Epps to a luncheon meeting at Skeeters Restaurant. …Representative Van Epps came to hear from our veterans about care, local and national support, and to seek our suggestions of how he may better serve us. He addressed those positions he currently supports and how he was introducing his first legislation intended to help veterans and our families. It was impressive to see how much he related to us as a fellow veteran. Our local veteran organizations are very active in community support, conducting several programs throughout the year.” -Robert Mitchell
